Canada’s ice sledge hockey team loses to Japan in Paralympic semifinal
Canada’s ice-sledge-hockey team is now going for bronze.
In the semifinal today (March 18) at UBC Thunderbird Arena, Japan defeated Canada 3-1 to claim a spot in the gold-medal game.
The loss means Canada no longer has any hope of sweeping the gold medals in hockey at the 2010 Olympics and Paralympics.
Canada will now face off against the loser of the semifinal game between the United States and Norway for Paralympic bronze.
