UFC 115 appears to be set to take place in Vancouver after all.

The Canadian Press reported today (March 31) that Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White has confirmed that the mixed-martial-arts event will be held as planned on June 12 at GM Place.

On March 29, reports surfaced that the UFC was considering moving the card to Cincinnati, Ohio, due to unresolved liability and insurance issues.

The main event at UFC 115 is rumoured to feature Chuck Liddell versus Tito Ortiz or Rich Franklin.

The news that the Vancouver show is back on came just hours before UFC Fight Night: Florian vs. Gomi, the MMA promotion’s latest event, was scheduled to begin in Charlotte, North Carolina.

On December 17, 2009, Vancouver city council approved the holding of professional MMA events for a two-year trial period.

Council’s decision ended a citywide ban on pro MMA events that had begun in September 2007.

      Excellent!

But I'm sure some people will be boarding up the windows and re-enforcing the doors for the coming Armageddon.
