Who's resting now at the Eagles' Vancouver concert?

Uh-oh. After a 20-minute intermission so the audience could "rest", we return to see four stools lined up on the stage. Who's gonna be resting now? Well, Glenn Frey did mention that this was the band's Assisted Living Tour.

Georgia Straight music writer Steve Newton is posting items of interest from tonight's (May 9) Eagles' concert at GM Place in Vancouver. Check out the full review tomorrow at www.straight.com/music.

You don't seem to have gotten the joke.

Steve, Your review is a waste of space. For many of us, this was a "bucket list" concert, a once in a lifetime opportunity to see a band that has written great songs that we associate with special moments in our lives. If you don't like their musicianship or show, that's your issue. But to say that the Eagles did not deliver a quality show is a bunch of nonsense.

I totally got the joke....I was there Monday night and all these negative posts are not my sentiment...it was exactly for me as posted by Steve....It allowed me to go back to a time in the 70s when I was a kid and had summer holidays and whether you were in a park, on a beach, or tanning on your balcony they were what was playing and exemplifying Summer.. my only disappointment to the evening is what I experience at most concerts here in Vancouver...several of the fans are TOO SERIOUS and sit through an entire show...how is that supposed to incite excitement in the artist. Before anyone wants to suggest its the concerts I go to, let me tell you several of the people who went to AC/DC in Nov 08 of which I was at sat through this also so perhaps the negative nellie critics should consider this. Again my OPINION

This was by far the greatest concert I have ever attended man. Steve you have no idea of was a concert should be . Sorry to disagree ( well not really) The Eagles were way more than I ever expected. I thought it would be a "nice" concert to see one of my fav bands in the latter years of their career. Wow was i wrong it was better in every way ! Rock on Eagles1
