Argh Fuck Kill chronicles long-running Dayglo Abortions

Unstoppable writing machine Chris Walter will be on hand at the Biltmore next Friday (June 25) for the launch of Argh Fuck Kill: The Story of the Dayglo Abortions, the massively tattooed Vancouverite’s first band bio since his 2008 book, Personality Crisis: Warm Beer and Wild Times. Asked “Why the Dayglos?” Walter told the Straight, “When you really think about it, how many Canadian punk bands have been around for 30 years without breaking up even once?”

Due to the long list of personnel, “the Dayglos project was much more involved than the Personality Crisis book,” Walter added. “I never did manage to find all the members, but I got what I needed. Even with all the booze and drugs, the principals were remarkably lucid. That said, the book was not without its challenges. I would never have been able to get through it if I hadn’t done the Personality Crisis book first.”

Playing alongside the Dayglos at the launch will be SNFU, featuring former Personality Crisis drummer Jon Card.
