William Shakespeare meets Moulin Rouge! in Carousel Theatre’s colourful, cancan-filled rendition of The Taming of the Shrew. The show, which runs Friday (July 30) to August 14 at Performance Works Outdoor Stage and is the culmination of Carousel’s Teen Shakespeare Program, is noteworthy for more than its fin-de-sií¨cle-Paris setting: it also includes the Bard’s rarely used introduction, which couches Shrew as a play within a play.
