South Indian superstar A.R. Rahman reschedules Vancouver show

India's most beloved singer and composer, A.R. Rahman, will bring his Jai Ho World Tour to the PNE Coliseum in Vancouver on September 14.

Rahman, a resident of Chennai, cancelled a scheduled June appearance Vancouver after some stage infrastructure collapsed in Detroit.

He's best known in North America for composing the Oscar-winning music in Slumdog Millionaire.

He has also created the soundtracks for countless Bollywood movies.

In March, a Reader's Digest poll reported that Rahman is the fifth-most trusted person in India, coming ahead of the prime minister, Manmohan Singh.
