Wavves makes Vancouver sweat

Wavves frontman Nathan Williams plays thruogh the flu.

When the lo-fi noise machine called Wavves took the stage at the Biltmore Cabaret last night (August 26), it made a deal with the pack of rowdy hipsters in attendance.

Frontman Nathan Williams would play through a bad case of the flu. But, in the event that he threw up, ticketholders had to promise to lick the vomit off the floor.

With an oddly loud roar of affirmation to such a request, they agreed. And so vocalist and lead guitarist Williams, bassist Stephen Pope, and drummer Billy Hayes, kicked off a set that didn’t end until everybody anywhere near the front was dripping with sweat and, thankfully, did not include the discharge of any other bodily fluids.

Here are a couple of videos from the night.
