Veteran broadcaster Pamela Martin has joined B.C. Liberal leadership candidate Christy Clark’s campaign team.

Martin is taking on the role of membership chair with Clark’s leadership bid.

The former CTV anchor endorsed Clark in a video posted today (January 5) on YouTube.

“I think it’s time for British Columbia to have a woman as the premier of this province,” Martin says.

A great day for BC & Christy Clark. We will keep socialism OUT of BC and another illegal teachers strike from happening w/ a Clark win!

I am supporting Clark for what she stands for NOT because of Gender. Pamela your comment is lame; If your only criteria is gender then any female candidate will do. This is as bad as the NDP's gender rules

I stopped listening to Pam Martin about two decades ago.

She's not capable of anything more challenging than reading the tele-prompter in front of her face.

Plus - does Christy really want to work hard or is she just looking for the easy "big-dog" chair? Remember when she wanted to be mayor of Vancouver? And she failed. What did she do for the city after that? Nothing.

I want a leader for both parties that works hard, cares about the people of the province, and puts in the hard work to get the job done. Not some Johnny-come-lately.

-+Too bad she didn't go home when she retired. She always was one for the rich and right wing pro business.

“I think it’s time for British Columbia to have a woman as the premier of this province,” Martin says.

Sexist remark, and gender plays no role in determining who is best for the job as premier. I cant think of a weaker reason to back someone then their gender.
