Lucky 9 at Performance Works
If you missed TJ Dawe’s hugely entertaining, hilarious, and soul-baring show Lucky 9 at last year’s Vancouver International Fringe Festival, now’s your chance to see how on earth HBO’s The Wire, local physician Gabor Maté’s books, and the nine personality types of the Enneagram could possibly be combined into a one-man theatre production. This 2010 Pick of the Fringe fave comes back as a fundraiser for the fest, this time with Maté on hand for an after-show talk-back about his writings and experiences as a doctor in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. The performance and discussion happen one night only, Saturday (February 19), at Performance Works on Granville Island.
