If you can't wait to kick off your winter boots and slide your feet into light, canvas shoes, you can get a head start this month by bidding on a pair of TOMS shoes at Ayden Gallery (88 West Pender Street).

Ayden partnered with the California-based footwear company as part of the gallery's seventh anniversary celebrations. In February, 49 pairs of artist-infused TOMS shoes were unveiled at Ayden's Style Your Sole event, which included the start of a silent auction. Participating artists include Canadian comic book artist Camilla d'Errico, Vancouver-based painter and street artist Indigo, and Vancouver-based painter and illustrator Ben Tour. Funds raised from the silent shoe auction will be donated to the B.C. and Yukon branches of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Ayden has extended the silent auction bidding period until March 31, giving shoe fiends a chance to score a one-of-a-kind pair of wearable art. All funds raised from the auction will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and bidding begins at $50 per pair.

TOMS shoes is well-known for its One for One policy, where the company matches each pair of shoes that are purchased by donating a pair to a child in need.
