Stephen Harper gets jiggy with it

Now that the noise over the recent election is starting to die down, it’s time to get back to political business. Which, for many of us, means expressing a dislike of varying degrees for Stephen Harper.

The folks at Operation Maple clearly feel the same way. Operation Maple produces funny videos that are aimed at politically educating the Canadian public, many of which take potshots at our PM. Like this one, for example.

There now, don’t you feel more enlightened? No? Well, at least you got some chuckles out of it. Which is more than I can say you’ll get out of the next few years.

Totally. Regardless of whether you agree with them or not, his attack ads certainly did their job. Ditto on the sarcastic congratulations, by the way.

I'm rather nonplussed that someone (even a politician) would think that this is an appropriate way to act. Does knocking other people down really make yourself seem bigger and better? Well, it seems to work for schoolyard bullies, so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.
