Do something fun for free

Been to the Vancouver Art Gallery lately? How about the UBC Museum of Anthropology? When was the last time you played astronaut at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre?

      Yep, it's been a while.

But this month, you could do it all for free. Remember free? Just like when you were a kid and your parents paid for everything.

Tourism Vancouver’s Be A Tourist In Your Own Town promotion is offering locals free tickets to 26 attractions, highlighting one daily until the last tickets are distributed May 28. The attraction of the day is announced at 7 a.m., when you can download a coupon for two tickets valid for the following day.

For example, today’s coupon (Thursday May 5) is for free admission tomorrow (Friday) to the UBC Botanical Garden and Nitobe Gardens.

There are a limited number of coupons, given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
