If Sean Avery can support same-sex marriage, why can't Barack Obama?

New York Ranger tough guy Sean Avery's public statement in favour of same-sex marriage sends a positive message to gay and lesbian kids across North America.

In a YouTube video, Avery says he's a New Yorker for marriage equality.

“I treat everyone the way I expect to be treated and that applies to marriage," Avery says in the video. "Committed couples should be able to marry the person they love. Join me in supporting marriage equality.”

We've had same-sex marriage in Canada for a few years and it hasn't ruined our society. In fact, it's improved the lives of many couples.

What are the Americans and their president, Barack Obama, so afraid of?

"What are the Americans and their president, Barack Obama, so afraid of?"

They are afraid that their ridiculous notions that straight people are superior to gay people is a bunch of horse crap.
