Playing Lara Croft is still fun in Tomb Raider Trilogy

Tomb Raider Trilogy (Square Enix; PS3; rated teen)

This collection, exclusive to the PS3, groups the trilogy of titles developed by Crystal Dynamics between 2006 and 2008: Legend, Anniversary, and Underworld. Taken together, the three games tell the story of Lara Croft’s search for the truth about her mother’s fate.

Part of the fun of these games is visiting—virtually—exotic locations from around the world, so the versions of Legend and Anniversary, which were developed for PS2, benefit from being remastered in high-definition. Being able to play the three games back-to-back helps you appreciate the plot that weaves through them, and because the mechanics haven't changed, you'll have just as much fun with them now as you did when they were first released.

My only complaint is that the interface for navigating between the three games could have used some refining before this trilogy was shipped out.
