Centre Patrice Bergeron whacked the puck behind goalie Roberto Luongo on his stick side off the post.
Bergeron's fifth goal of the playoffs came at 14:37 of the first period.
Canucks fans had one highlight before the goal: speedy winger Mason Raymond appeared on the big screen at Rogers Arena, prompting a prolonged applause.
Raymond suffered a fractured vertabrae early in Game 6 after being pushed into the boards by Bruins defenceman Johnny Boychuk.
