Questions raised about Canucks defenceman Alex Edler's hand

In the first intermission of Game 7, Team 1040 broadcasters Jeff Paterson (also a Straight sports columnist) and Blake Price suggested that Alex Edler's hand might be injured.

They noted that the Canuck defender seemed at times to be holding his stick with only one hand. The broadcasters speculated that it was because Edler was in pain.

Edler left Game 6 with an undisclosed injury. He played 8:23 in the first period of Game 7. He was not on the ice when Bruins centre Patrice Bergeron scored the only goal of the first frame.
