Folk Fest: Weather forecast offers something positive for music fans

Looking out the window late this morning, all I could think about was all those people heading to Jericho Beach and Stanley Park.

There's light rain in the forecast for this afternoon to coincide with the Vancouver Folk Music Festival at Jericho. There's also a K'naan concert, which is being put on by Parks Canada in Stanley Park.

Fortunately, it's still warm—17 degrees this afternoon and 14 degrees tonight.

Tomorrow morning, conditions are expected to improve at the folk festival. The weather office is calling for variable cloudiness with the sun peaking out in the morning. The forecast calls for 21 degrees and isolated showers on Sunday afternoon.

The icon on the Weather Network page shows a large sun behind a very small cloud, which is a good sign for music lovers.
