With this anus I thee wed: Russell Brand presides over wedding on standup tour

Ah, romance. Nothing like the wedded bliss of having Mr. Katy Perry preside over your vows.

Russell Brand is an ordained minister, and during a standup gig in Santa Barbara en route to Vancouver (he plays Coquitlam's Red Robinson Show Theatre on Friday [August 5] and Richmond's River Rock Show Theatre the next night), he helped one lucky couple tie the knot.

It's the latest marriage he's overseen since posting this on Facebook: "I am now and ordained minister and will wed people, of any gender, at all my gigs. No funerals."

Among Brand's rather unusual set of vows at the Santa Barbara gig was asking the groom to promise to put up with his wife even "when she's an asshole", while his glowing bride gave her pledge to "let him have the remote control" and "not to give up certain things that you do do more often before a marriage".

As for their lack of rings, Brand offered to use certain orifices instead. See for yourself.

Any engaged couples out there up for a similar ceremony in Van city? We just suggest you bring your own finger bling for the sake of all involved.
