Get some Q-KARMA! (or how to avoid being reincarnated into santorum)

    1 of 1 2 of 1

Are you here (in Vancouver) and queer and have gotten used to it but are still wanting to make more LGBT friends from other parts of the proverbial cultural rainbow we have here in our city? (Don't we all?) Well, my fine friends, you've now got one new way to do that (so you don't have to look like a rhythmically impaired freak by forcing yourself to join bhangra hip-hop fusion dance classes against your own better judgment ).

Q-KARMA! is a new intercultural queer Facebook group that was launched yesterday (August 15) to facilitate more cross-cultural interaction within LGBT communities.

Alex Sangha, who created the South Asian queer social and support group Sher Vancouver, created this group designed to encourage interaction, sharing information, and just some gosh darn really positive vibes between members from different ethnic backgrounds. Can you feel the love tonight? (Thank you, Elton.)

So far, the group has been endorsed by the moderators of Sher Vancouver and Trikone Vancouver, and already has 155 members (at the time of this writing).

Wanna join? Run a search for the group's name or click here. And maybe you'll garner some great queer karma along the way.

Thanks for the story. I am looking into helping queer East Asians as well provide a social support group for their community. :)
