Michele Bachmann wishes Elvis "happy birthday" on deathday

Everybody's favourite Republican presidential candidate, Michele Bachmann, stopped today (August 16) to wish the King a happy birthday during a campaign event in South Carolina.

There was only one problem: today marks the 34th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death.

His birthday is actually January 8.

This might just be a tempest in a Tea Party pot if it hadn't been for her mixing up American icon John Wayne and serial killer John Wayne Gacy, not to mention calling John Quincy Adams one of the country's "founding fathers" when he was just nine years old at the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
That's three strikes for Michele, who looks to be chasing Sarah Palin and George W. Bush for the title of most fuzzy-brained would-be (or actual) president ever.

Can't wait to watch Jon on the Daily show tonight.

Her handlers must be as challenged as she and the rest of the American right wing are.

I hope she gets elected as Republican nominee and Obama trounces here in a landslide.
