The entire audience in Squamish is standing as Metric plays the main stage. The second-last band of the night is clearly a big draw for many members of the crowd, as they sing along to well-known tracks including "Monster Hospital", "Help, I'm Alive", and "Gimme Sympathy".

Singer Emily Haines and her band members followed an eclectic lineup on the second day of the festival, which also included psychedelic rockers Black Mountain and Calgary indie rock act the Dudes.

The festival choices were praised by Haines, who gave a nod to fellow Canadian band, the Stars, following their Saturday night performance.

Headliners Weezer are scheduled to take to the stage within the next hour.

Yolande Cole is filing her observations today from the LIVE at Squamish Music and Arts Festival.
