Muckraker Michael Moore headed to Vancouver

Comments

The filmmaker who put General Motors on the defensive for closing factories in Michigan in the 1980s will be in Vancouver on September 18 to discuss his soon-to-be released book about his life. The Vancouver International Writers and Readers Festival will host Michael Moore, the Flint-raised son of an auto assembly-line worker and author of Here Comes Trouble, at the Stanley Industrial Alliance Theatre. Don’t be surprised if Moore dishes some dirt on the car industry.

Indeed, bringing political awareness and activism into Canada would set back special interest groups by decades. I'm sure the results could be spun into the need for a massive study and new laws though. Don't worry Brent, the dark side will still be able to afford your doughnut fix.

Yeah, it wouldn't be the first time Canada customs tried to stop an activist against CORPORATE GREED AND MALFEASANCE into the country.. you might get your wish, Brent.

Moores' films may have an impact in the US, but they're rather after-the-fact to anyone with some awareness.
