All Hallows Read celebrates scary books for all ages

Promoted by English author Neil Gaiman, All Hallows Read is based on an extremely simple concept. The idea is to give a scary book to someone this Halloween. That’s all.

You can buy one or borrow one, give one to someone directly or anonymously. The point is just to give a scary book to someone, anyone really, this Halloween.

I feel compelled to note that the scary books should be age appropriate. Face it, as much fun as giving a child a copy of a Walking Dead graphic novel sounds like, it would probably have some negative consequences somewhere down the line. Fortunately, the All Hallows Read website offers a variety of suggestions for many ages and tastes.

Still not convinced? Then check out the clip below, where Gaiman explains how you can help spread the joy and terror of scary books.
