Why: Booties are nothing new, trendwise. That was until fashion favourite Kate Bosworth decided her beige pair by designer Isabel Marant was to be worn with every outfit in every gossip glossy and style blog. Now you can’t escape them. I must admit that I am a fan of booties; they seem to complement most looks, and can easily be dressed up or down. I love these black suede ones by Dolce Vita. Unlike their predecessors, these gems are low-heeled and totally made for walking. Wear them with a chunky cardigan and tank dress to work, or with a pea coat and acid-wash skinnies for a long stroll in the park. They come in beige, too—I scooped up both hues!
