Professor Layton and the Last Specter adds quaint chapter to series

Professor Layton and the Last Specter (Nintendo; DS; rated everyone 10+)

This fourth game in the Professor Layton series takes place—chronologically—before the others. It involves the archaeologist Layton, accompanied by his new assistant Emmy Altava, traveling to a small town in the English countryside to investigate the appearance of a mysterious creature that is destroying the village during nighttime attacks. While there, Layton meets Luke, who fans of the series will recall as Layton’s apprentice from the first three games.

This title includes 155 puzzles ranging from logic and math problems to brain teasers and riddles. If that wasn’t enough reason to play, The Last Specter also has three puzzle-themed minigames and a full Sim-like game called London Life for your enjoyment. The characters and story may be a little too quaint for their own good, but the Layton games are a great entertainment and this latest chapter is too.

It'd sure be nice if you guys would review a Need For Speed game, especially since it is developed locally here in Vancouver. Cough. :|
