If you’ve got kidlets on your hands this weekend, a visit to the Vancouver Art Gallery’s Family Fuse event on Saturday and Sunday (March 3 and 4, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) is a must. In addition to the VAG’s usual weekend family programming, which boasts kid-friendly art tours and hands-on art-making workshops, Family Fuse will add artists, musicians, dancers, and performers to the mix for a weekend of jam-packed creativity, all inspired by the Beat Nation exhibit of contemporary aboriginal art. Think powwow/hip-hop fusion dancing, live aerosol art demos, and workshops in hip-hop songwriting.
