Easter activities in Metro Vancouver up the family-friendly ante
If the upcoming Easter holiday has caught you unprepared in the children’s-activities department, check out our rundown of seasonal events taking place around Metro Vancouver.
Stuck in the ‘burbs this Easter? Brentwood Town Centre hosts a Bunny’s Got Talent Easter Show where you can judge an Easter-Bunny candidate as he sings, dances, and does the bunny hop. The shopping centre also has a guest reader from Coles Books reading a seasonal story at its Easter Storytime.
Providing you’re a little farther afield this weekend, Leigh Square Community Arts Village’s Gathering Place showcases crafts, live music, and Easter-egg designing at its Children’s Easter Arts Celebration. Try the Port Moody Station Museum for an Easter Extravaganza full of crafts, magic, dog dancing, and carnival-prize games.
If an egg hunt is more your style, check out the Britannia Mine Museum for a dinosaur-themed hunt and the Fort Langley National Historic Site of Canada for a relaxed hunt where each child receives a treat.
If the little ones are busy sleeping off their chocolate-induced sugar comas, parents (and those without kids, too) can check out Easter Celebrations in the Spanish Ballroom for brunch and live, 1920s-era jazz music.
And hey, if you want to steal one of your kid’s chocolate bunnies and do this to it, that’s ok too.
