Cory Schneider designated to start for Canucks in Game 3 in Los Angeles
Vancouver Canucks coach Alain Vigneault has made it official: Cory Schneider will be in the net for Game 3 tonight in Los Angeles.
The 26-year-old Massachusetts native posted 20 victories and a 1.96 goals-against average this year as the back-up to Roberto Luongo.
Schneider has played exceptionally well on the road, and his .937 save percentage was second in the league.
Vancouver is trailing the Kings 2-0 after home losses on April 11 and April 13.
The Canucks' power play has been particularly dreadful, not scoring any goals throughout the series and allowing two short-handed markers in the second game.
