Seven Nines and Tens at the Rickshaw Theatre

Holy crap. There is going to be a lot of local talent crammed into the Rickshaw Theatre on Friday (April 20). If the fact that mathematical-minded postmetal trio Seven Nines and Tens is headlining isn’t enough to get you out of the house, just consider the range of other genres on offer. These include the hyperliterate rock operatics of Criminal Caterpillar, classical-tinged prog-metal courtesy of Marching Mind, and krautrock-informed shoegazing from Violet Age. But wait! There’s more: the Alaska, Magnetic North, M&E, Tatanka, and Citadels are also on the bill. If you haven’t been keeping track, that’s nine acts. Nine! With the cover charge set at $10, that’s just over a buck per band. In other words, no one’s getting rich off of this gig—the exception, of course, being you, the music-hungry fan. It’s feeding time!
