George Thorogood brings raucous boogie-blues to Metro Van this weekend

If you're the type of rock 'n' roll fan who's never had a problem with straight-forward, kick-ass boogie, then you should make a point of hitting the casinos in Richmond and Coquitlam this weekend.

That's where perennial boogie monster George Thorogood and his killer band the Destroyers will be preaching the 12-bar gospel of Chuck Berry, with shows Friday at the River Rock Show Theater and Saturday at the Red Robinson Show Theatre.

In case you don't have a turntable anymore, on which to spin that dog-eared copy of Move It On Over you bought at A&B Sound back in '78, here's five good reasons to become reacquainted with good old George.
