David Fomradas is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for failing to return on a day-pass from the Colony Farm Forensic Psychiatric Hospital in Port Coquitlam. Neither police nor his family know his whereabouts.

The 34-year-old bipolar man from Alberta made headlines when he hijacked a car from local film and TV actor Carly Pope and her brother Kris, also an actor, on December 29, 2009. Fomradas jumped on to the hood of the BMW, stopped at a traffic light. When Kris Pope left the driver's seat to call police, Fomradas leapt into the driver's seat, while Carly Pope was still in the passenger seat. Fomradas rammed the BMW into other cars before smashing into the CBC Vancouver building.

Fomradas was charged with car theft, aggravated assault, dangerous driving, assault with a weapon, and mischief (for damaging property). However, in 2010, he was found not criminally responsible due to mental illness.

Carly Pope, who has had roles on TV series 24, The Collector, and Californication and films such as Young People Fucking and Textuality, filed a civil case against Fomradas in 2011. She sustained numerous injuries, including a fractured rib, two fractured vertebrae, a concussion, a torn ear, disrupted vision in her right eye, bruises, headaches, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and anxiety.

Her brother, who injured his ankle, and another motorist also filed suits.

Fomradas is Caucasian, 5' 11" and 161 lbs., medium build, brown hair, stubble, and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, black shirt, grey pants, and brown shoes.

The police have warned that Fomradas could be violent if he stops taking medication, and advise anyone who sees him to avoid approaching him and to call 911.
