Bryan Adams at Rogers Arena
The perpetually testy Ryan Adams doesn’t take kindly to folks shouting out requests for “Summer of ’69” when he’s trying to concentrate on fumbling his way through one of his own songs. Bryan Adams doesn’t have an analogous problem, presumably because no one who would attend one of his concerts—like the one he’ll be playing at Rogers Arena on Saturday (June 16)—has any idea who Ryan Adams is and couldn’t name one of his songs. Our advice to the former Whiskeytown member is to bite the bullet and learn “Summer of ’69”, because that would finally shut up the would-be comedians in the crowd. Our advice to Bryan Adams is to keep pretending Ryan Adams doesn’t exist. Oh, and please don’t sing any more songs with Sting, Rod Stewart, Barbra Streisand, Sporty Spice, Pamela Anderson, or any combination of the above.
