Surrey’s Central City wins Canadian brewery of the year award

      Out of 96 breweries across Canada, Surrey’s Central City Brewing Co. was singled out as Canadian brewery of the year at 2012’s Canadian Brewing Awards.

      The largest brewing competition in Canada announced its winners on June 9 at the Mondial de la Bière festival in Montreal.

      Central City was also named Canadian brewery of the year in 2010. In 2011, the honour went to New Brunswick’s Picaroons Brewing Co. .

      This year’s awards featured 559 beers competing for medals in 37 categories. For complete results, see here.
