Studio 58 at Langara College has announced its 2012-13 season, and it includes the B.C. premiere of a show that was a hit in London and New York.
That show is Spring Awakening, a contemporary Broadway musical with book and lyrics by Steven Sater and music by Duncan Sheik, based on the play by Frank Wedekin. It plays January 31 to February 24, 2013 at the campus theatre.
Elsewhere in the season is the contemporary play Attempts on Her Life, from September 27 to October 14, the comedy classic The Government Inspector from November 15 to December 2, and Lanford Wilson's grittily magical Balm in Gilead, from March 21 to April 7, 2013.
The program will mark the theatre school's 47th season.
