Home prices drop The Canadian Real Estate Association has reported that multiple-listing-service housing prices fell 1.3 percent across the country between May and June, and dropped 4.4 percent between June and the same month in 2011.
Body recovered The RCMP have confirmed that a body, believed to be that of 60-year-old Valentine Webber, has been found following last Thursday's mudslide in the community of Johnson's Landing north of Nelson, B.C., but three others are still missing.
Another mudslide The resort town of Fairmont Hot Springs in the East Kooenays was hit with a mudslide late Sunday (July 15) afternoon, flooding the area and causing the evacuation of four homes.
Judicial inquiry The Canadian Judicial Council will begin hearing witnesses today in connection with a complaint against Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench Associate Chief Justice Lori Douglas, whose husband posted sexually explicit photos of her online and allegedly offered her to a client.
