GS Blog gets Brewed by Beyond Robson's Sean Orr
Here at the GS Views Blog, we aspire to greatness (or at the very least, some 2-for-1 coupons). Yet nothing could prepare us for the honour of being blog-stalked by Sean Orr in not one but two editions of Beyond Robson's Morning Brew by their groovy little feller Sean Orr. Yay!
(Note to Sean: the Stanley Cup Riot posting actually didn't have any connection to an anniversary—which is in June—and we weren't insinuting that having one night only will stop the shenanigans by rufians and hooligans. We just want less!)
But what can we do to return the favour?
Perhaps we can extend an invite to Sean to join one of my many social clubs here at the Straight.
I'd invite him to join my Bitter Lactose-Intolerant Asian Youth Group, but unfortunately it's now defunct (one of the two members moved away). He seems to have the bitter thing down pat, but I'm not sure if he's lactose-intolerant.
And who cares if he's not Asian? Just like the sistas of Sistahood, we're all about INCLUSIVITY. Sistas are doing it for themselves! Woo!
But perhaps a better bet would be our Cool Cats Club (formerly called the Kool Katz Klub, but had to be changed due to a problematic acronym). As Sean says, he likes cats. We likes cats too. Cats rock! Woo!
The only problems is that we don't allow non–GS staff members to join.
But I'm sure we shall find a way.
I feel like Mallory on that classic episode of Family Ties when she gets robbed by a tomboyish shoplifter but then turns around and wants to do something like totally good for the world and become friends with her and like totally like help out you know and like adopt one child from every Third World country possible and collect them all and start a trend among celebrities so they can trade them like hockey cards and like so anyway Mallory like totally invites the girl over for dinner and it's totally like FRIENDS FOREVER and HAGS and then like you never see the girl on the show. Ever again.
Good times. Woo!
Okay, all this excitement is exhausting. I need to go lie down.
