The closing ceremony of the Olympics featured a tribute to British music, starring everyone from George Michael to the Who to Annie Lennox and the Spice Girls. There were even a few supermodels thrown to liven up David Bowie's hit song "Fashion".

The whole thing got a little surreal when Monty Python's Eric Idle burst into "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life". At one point, Bollywood-style dancers were covering him in powdered dust in what looked a little bit like a restaging of the Hindu festival known as Holi.

Canadian athletes showed up in jean jackets with the flag on their back. Judging from these photos supplied by the Canadian Olympic Committee, it appears as thought they had a good time.
