Vancouver Fringe Fest review: Lies! will make you a believer

An hour at the Fringe has never passed more quickly for me than in Travis Bernhardt’s magic show. The guy’s wryly understated presence fuels his humour. There’s even content: Berhardt explores honesty as he deconstructs the magician–audience member relationship. I don’t want to give anything away, but I do want to say that I have no idea how he does any of those amazing things. Oh, and everybody gets to be one of his lovely assistants.

      At the Havana Theatre on September 7 (6:30 p.m.), 8 (8:45 p.m.), 9 (3:30 p.m.), 10 (6 p.m.), 11 (7:30 p.m.), 13 (9:30 p.m.), and 15 (5:15 p.m.)
