Sure, everybody has a story to tell, but they’re only worth listening to if they’re told well. Solo performer Barbara Selfridge has an amiably confident stage presence, and she feels strongly about her epileptic, developmentally challenged older sister Margaret and her womanizing, heavy-drinking, math-whiz father, John. But Zero Tolerance wanders in search of its core narrative, and Selfridge mistakenly assumes that we’ll care about her characters without a proper introduction. There is some accumulation: Margaret and John start to come into focus—but by then the show is almost over.
