B.C. Lions announce 2012 individual award finalists

The B.C. Lions have released the names of the six players nominated for Canadian Football League year-end awards.

For the second straight season, quarterback Travis Lulay is the Lions' nominee for Most Outstanding Player. He won the award a year ago.

Running back Andrew Harris is up for Top Canadian and linebacker Adam Bighill is the team's finalist for Defensive Player of the Year, while Jovan Olafioye is the club's Top Lineman for a third straight season.

Kick returner Tim Brown was an easy choice as the team's Outstanding Special Teams player and Jabar Westerman, the Lions' first-round pick in this year's Canadian college draft, was tabbed as the team's Top Rookie.

Each of these players will now be in the running to be the West representative for the Gibson's Finest CFL Player Award. The West finalists will be announced on November 7 with the trophies presented on November 22 during Grey Cup week in Toronto.
