Video: Yuki sheds light on the trans experience in Vietnam in Pede

Yuki just wants a chance to work and be treated with respect.

The Vietnamese LGBT group ICS (Information Connecting and Sharing) has created an emotionally appealing film about the trans community in that country.

Entitled Pede—a disparaging term for describing trans people in Vietnam—it showcases a woman named Yuki.

It's on its way to going viral, having already attracted well over 200,000 page views on YouTube.

 

The trans community strives for dignity in Vietnam.
