The Georgia Straight, Canada's leading alternative weekly has an opening for a self starting, motivated sales associate to join our Advertising Sales Division.

You will be part of a sales team and will be responsible for initiating new sales projects both independently and in collaboration with outside sellers. Prospecting, cold calling, qualifying accounts and researching the market are all part of this position. In particular, you will be targeting specific niche businesses throughout the Lower Mainland for our newspaper, magazine and online products as assigned and directed. We welcome the person who can creatively help us target new and untapped business.

You will be part of a dynamic, self motivated sales team and our expectations are high. You are not afraid of hard work, have a proven sales track record in a deadline-oriented business and thrive on the fast pace.
