Jerks jack Submission's stuff

It's an all-too-familiar story in the Vancouver music scene: another band has had its gear stolen. The unlucky act this time is Submission, a modern-rock trio recently relocated from Lethbridge, Alberta.

On June 8, someone drove away with Submission's tour trailer, which contained all of the band's gear, including many custom-made instruments. In total, some $50,000 worth of gear was taken, including five Paul Reed Smith guitars, basses made by Modulus and Cort, a six-piece Premier drum kit, Mesa Boogie amplifiers, and two flight cases full of effects pedals.

For a full list of the purloined gear, see the band's Web site, www.submissionmusic.com/. Those with information on the whereabouts of the instruments are asked to contact the band by telephone at (403) 331-8839 or 604-877-1424, or by e-mail at ryan@submissionmusic.com.
