Tickled Think
Occupying the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery until next Sunday (September 26): Tickle Your Catastrophe, a graduate exhibition by six female students from the UBC master's of fine arts program. This wide-ranging show covers photography, sculpture, video, and installation. Look for Kyla Mallett's Bully , which has women between the ages of 25 and 40 recounting their experiences at the giving and receiving end of peer abuse; Basement Suite by Heather Passmore, made of antique linoleum pulled from the artist's home; and For Lost Love, Lost Courage , photocopied fliers by Melissa Pauw that slyly mimic missing-pet posters. Meow.
