Russian Gala Ball at the Russian Community Centre

Vancouver’s fast-growing Russian community is bringing one of its most beloved traditions to town. Think gown-bedecked debutantes and swirling dance as the first Russian Gala Ball takes place on Sunday (January 13) at the Russian Community Centre. The same day, look to the centre for the largest Russian food fair in town, at the Russian Christmas market from 1 to 5 p.m. Picture Father Frost, traditional folk dance, loads of pelmeni and pirozhki, and real Russian vodka.
