The loss of some theatrical props has not ruined plans for Canadian comedian Mary Walsh to bring her one-woman show Dancing with Rage to Vancouver.

Walsh is scheduled to make a one-show stop in Edmonton on Saturday (February 2) before delivering a nearly two-week run of performances at the Firehall Arts Centre in Vancouver. But those plans were put in doubt recently when part of her set was lost during shipment from Toronto to Edmonton.

“It was touch and go there for a few days, but they've managed to find an incredible set building company in Toronto called The Rabbit's Choice, who are working furiously to rebuild everything in the next 3 days, in time for Mary's first show in Edmonton on Saturday,” Firehall Arts Centre spokesperson Gabriela De Lucca said in an emailed statement.

De Lucca said the incident will not affect plans to stage Dancing with Rage at the Firehall Arts Centre [280 East Cordova Street] from February 5 to 17. The show features the well-known character Marg Delahunty, a fake sword-wielding persona Walsh has used to lampoon politicians on the television program This Hour Has 22 Minutes.
