A…My Name is Alice at Granville Island’s Studio 1398

Think of it as the summery stage equivalent of a chick flick. The feel-good musical revue A…My Name is Alice, produced by Skycorner Productions with Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre, is all about female bonding, with women singing and dancing their way through identity issues, love troubles, rivalries, and more, with songs the Village Voice once called “Slick as can be.” The estrogen-amped offering stars Michelle T. Baynton, Rebecca Friesen, Danielle Lemon, Rosie Simon, and Hannah Unterschultz, and runs at Granville Island’s Studio 1398 from next Friday (August 16) to August 25.

This was a blockbuster of a small show! Amazing talent and great voices. And it will touch the hearts and minds of 'every woman' - brought tears and laughter to my girlfriend and me. We are two different generations, but it touched us both!
