It's hit a downtown bar and night club, plus the Grandview Legion; now Dances for a Small Stage is taking up residence at a cultural centre in a new East Side 'hood.

Movent has announced it's changing venues for the series' next edition, and moving from the Drive over to Main Street.

The 29th installment is now scheduled to take place at the Ukrainian Centre at 10th and Main from September 12 to 14. And yes, you'll even be able to buy home-style perogies and sausages on-site.

It will feature upcoming Quebec choreographer Jean-François Duke, as well as Kirsten Wicklund, Karissa Barry, Julianne Chapple, Daelik and MACHiNENOiSY, Farley Johansson with Science Friction, Dayna Szyndrowski, and the plastic orchid factory.

In another new offer, attendees can avoid long preshow lineups by purchasing advance tickets at www.small-stage.eventbrite.ca/.
