Theatre Under the Stars has announced it will stage Oliver! The Musical and Hairspray – The Broadway Musical for its 75th anniversary season at the historic outdoor stage at Malkin Bowl.

Shows are set to run July 10 to August 22 on alternating nights.

Shel Piercy will helm the production based on Charles Dickens's famous tale of an orphan in Victorian London, while Sarah Rodgers takes on the story of larger-than-life Tracy Turnblad in 1962 Baltimore.

For the first time, TUTS is offering a two-show subscription pack that lets audiences secure their seats to both productions for $70 for adults and $50 for children and youth. The package is available until May 10 at tuts.ca/.

Last year was one of the strongest in TUTS history. Forthe first time, the company held over both its shows (Shrek: The Musical and Legally Blonde: The Musical) right through August, thanks to near-perfect summer weather and strong reviews.
