What do Raffi and Rush have in common? Not much, if you view them through the prism of politics.

But songs from the common-sense children’s entertainer and the Ayn Rand–influenced prog-rockers will be among those featured when Chor Leoni presents Manely Canadian at the Bard on the Beach mainstage in Vanier Park on consecutive Mondays (June 22 and 29).

Differentiated from the all-male choir’s typically thoughtful fare by its underlying silliness—the press release even threatens that there will be tap-dancing bananas—the concert will nonetheless showcase the singers’ professionalism and poise via a selection of tunes from our home and native land.
